Meetup 041: Mix n Match

Last weekend, we had our lovely lady, Shazia hosting the session. For someone who has been to Write Club earlier, Shazia wouldn’t even need an introduction, the people-person, charming talker and extrovert that she is. She’s a wonderful writer herself and it’s always lovely to have her host a session. I’m sure it will be an amazing meetup, this weekend!
The session was by far one of the most challenging of sessions. Everything was pre-defined and all we had to do was write up something that could attach to the prompts. There were pre-conditions to the exercise. Get a book of your choice to the session!

The exercise seemed fairly simple in execution. The steps for Fusion:

1. Pick 1 book from the many books piled up in front of you – Pick the name of the first character that you can spot in the book.
2. Pick another book from the lot – Pick the name of the first place that you can spot in the book.
3. Pick another book from the lot – Pick the name of the first action that you can spot in the book.
4. Pick another book from the lot – Pick the name of the first feeling/emotion that you can spot in the book.

Flux all of them to produce an exciting story, that would do complete JUSTICE to a very saucy title that Shaz provided for us for the exercise!

Well, even with that defined structures, the session attracted just as many amazing stories as you must have expected and with Shazia’s hosting, we could not have written any better. All in all, it was a super-fun, lovely session.
